Hypertensive Heart Disease w/chfWhen coding HTN HD with CHF, the code states to use additional code to identify the type of heart failure. I have heard that this code includes CHF, so, not to code I50.9 with it, and only to code the heart failure if you have a more specific code for the failure. Is this true in ICD 10? Or do you code both even if you have an unspecified CHF?
