fine needle aspirationWe are receiving multiple denials from Medicare for hospital billing of FNA usually of the thyroid with ultrasound guidance.
Medicare keeps referring us to NCD and LCD's for this procedure stating the diagnosis is not valid for the procedure.
An example is 10022 and 76942 with ICD dx of E041 and E069.
Is anyone else having this same issue?
Any suggestions.
